Planters Punch – an all time classic. even the new york times has this reference to it dated 1908

This recipe I give to thee,
Dear brother in the heat.
Take two of sour (lime let it be)
To one and a half of sweet,
Of Old Jamaica pour three strong,
And add four parts of weak.
Then mix and drink. I do no wrong —
I know whereof I speak.

But not of a sweet tooth, and believing in Local produce i decided to make my own. Heres how it goes

A pint of Old Monk
maybe another quart too
dark mixers, any cola should do
a dash of lime
a lot of time

mix all ingredients in a large jug, sprawl on something comfortable and swig..
